Minister of Energy, Ibrahim Matola, has paid surprise visits to several fuel stations in Blantyre amid speculations that some retail outlets were hoarding the commodity in anticipation of the fuel price increase.
Matola is accompanied by officials from Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority (MERA).
He has already visited Engen and Puma Filling stations at Kandodo Corner shop in the city.
At both stations, they have enough fuel.
