Two well-known top officials for United Transformation Movement (UTM) Tony Ngalande and George Saonda attended the memorial service of late Bingu wa Mutharika, founder of Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) at Chingazi Catholic Church.

The two campaigned heavily for the Tonse Alliance of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and his Vice Dr. Saulos Chilima.

The strongly condemned the leadership style of former President Peter Mutharika to the extent that they called for his immediate resignation, saying it’s time for fresh blood.

But since President Chakwera ascended to the High Office, the two have been quit with others speculating that the two are contemplating of rejoining DPP after being sidelined by the Tonse Alliance.
