Police in Nigeria are keeping in custody  a 27 year old man Ibrahim Sikiru  for killing his father with a machete in Onipamu area

According to Abimbola Oyeyemi, police spokesman, a neighbor reported that the deceased, a night security guard,  Mumuni Ibrahim, asked his son for a reason why he was still asleep at that time of the day  the son become upset and pulled out a machete and cut the father in five different places.

The police sent their men to the scene and arrested the suspect and the victim was taken to the General Hospital for the treatment, Oyeyemi said.

The victim died at the hospital where he was receiving treatment and the suspect  is believed of being a cultist because he had no valued reason for his action.

Meanwhile the suspect has been moved to homicide section of the state department of intelligence and criminal investigation for  prosecution.
