The Ministry of Education has recruited and promoted 2599 secondary school teachers in all the districts in order to meet the student- teacher ratio.

Chikondano Mussa, Ministry of Education principal secretary made the announcement on Monday, March 28, 2022.

She said that the categories recruited are Sciences, Technicals, Languages, Special Needs Education and Humanities.

“This is the largest recruitment over the years,” she said.

Mussa added that the names of the successful candidates have been sent to the Education Division Offices.

She further asked successful teachers to report for work in their divisions and get their deployment details starting the recruitment.

The recruitment and promotion of teachers is one way of improving the quality of education in the country.
