The body of Linly Kabango, ex-wife to Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Member of Parliament for Blantyre South West, Honourable Noel Lipipa, was laid to rest on Monday at HHI cemetery.

Leader of Opposition Kondwani Nankhumwa who is also DPP Vice President for the South , Moses Kunkuyu, Presidential Advisor on Chiefs and other top officials attended the funeral ceremony.

In his eulogy Nankhumwa conveyed a message of condolence to the Kabango and Lipipa families from the DPP President His Excellency Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika and the party in the Southern Region.

He then hailed leaders of major political parties, including the Malawi Congress Party and UTM for joining their DPP colleagues and the bereaved families in mourning Linley Kabango, saying in sorrowful times, party politics should not divide Malawians.

Kabango worked in for NBS Bank’s Corporate Banking in Blantyre. She died on Saturday, 19th March, 2022 at Blantyre Adventist Hospital after a long illness.
