Former Member of Parliament for Lilongwe Mapuyu North Daniel Mlomo has rejoined the Malawi Congress Party (MCP).

Mlomo dumped the party and joined United Transformation Movement (UTM) party being headed by State Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima.

Speaking after being welcomed in the party Mlomo described his rejoining MCP as homecoming, comparing himself to the biblical prodigal son.

Mlomo also once served as MCP Regional Governor for the Centre.
