Representatives of workers from People’s Trading Center (PTC) shops have stormed Press Cooperation Limited (PLC) offices in Blantyre to demand their gratuities after the sale of People’s shop.
Two of the employees were locked up in a meeting with PLC officials, PTC Chief Executive Officer, Ferdinand Mchacha and PTC General Secretary Richard Kunjawa.
“We left a letter here and we want our demands to be answered. We want our money,” says one of the frustrated employees who opted for anonymity.
PTC has been sold to Tafika Holdings Limited which is owned by a South African-based Malawian, Arson Malola.
