Shocking drone footage emerged showing the terrifying moment a Russian soldier shot and killed a civilian as he raised his hand.

The distressing clip shows the man getting out of the car and surrendering but can be seen falling to the ground almost immediately.

But he was shot dead within seconds

Reports that the incident appeared to have occurred on the afternoon of March 7, on the E40 motorway outside Kyiv.

Footage shows a Russian tank parked near a gas station while a man in a silver car turns around and stops.

He can be seen holding his hand out of the car – but a moment later he falls to the ground after being shot.

Russian soldiers can be seen approaching the man and then dragging his body to the curb.

The shop spoke to the drone operator, a Ukrainian volunteer of “The Bugatti Company”.

He showed them the device, a Mavic III, and said he had been tasked with observing Russian positions on the E40 highway.

Footage then shows a woman and a child also accompanying the man and being led by soldiers into a nearby forest, but it is still unclear what happened to them, ZDF said.

The silver hatchback then caught fire.

The capital was rocked by powerful explosions yesterday with at least three large explosions heard in the center.

Russian forces are also accused of shooting dead women and children – killing seven civilians trying to escape from a village near Kyiv.
