Muluzi Says An Honour To Represent Chakwera At Rupiah Banda’s Funeral

Former President Bakili Muluzi has said it is an honor to represent President Lazarus Chakwera at Zambia’s former president Rupiah Banda Funeral.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, released a press statement announcing that President Lazarus Chakwera who is currently in America attending a UN conference for Least Developing Countries, has delegated Muluzi to represent him in Zambia.

While confirming the news, Muluzi said he accepted to represent Chakwera in Zambia because he knew the late Rupiah Banda for many years.

Rupiah Banda died on Saturday at his home after battling colon cancer for quite some time.

He will be laid to rest on Friday.
