Death has been announced of Traditional Authority (T/A) Thukuta of Thyolo District.

T/A Thukuta, born John Wyson, died in the morning hours of Monday, 14th March, 2022 at Fatima Mission Hospital in Nsanje District after a battle with Pneumonia.

He was born on 1st January 1960. The deceased was installed as Sub Traditional Authority Thukuta on 26th March, 1998 and was elevated to the position of T/A on 27th January, 2021.

The deceased is survived by a wife and 5 children.

The remains of the departed chief will be buried on Tuesday, 15th March, 2022 at his Lifuluni Headquarter in Thyolo.
