As western countries are calling on African countries to denounce Russia-Ukraine War, Zambia has been urged to cut ties with Russia.

Ukrainian Ambassador to Zambia, Liubov Abravitova has appealed to the Zambian government to suspend their diplomatic ties with Russia and ask President Vladimir Putin to cease fire in her country.

She said after the war, Ukraine will look to revive their diplomatic ties with Zambia and have an ambassador in the country.

Abravitova is also an Ambassador to South Africa, Mozambique and Botswana.
