Man collapses and dies while merrymaking with lover in lodging

Lover of man who collapsed, died while having good time released on bail.

A Nairobi court has ordered the release of Judy Mwelu pending the conclusion of the investigation into the death of a man she reportedly was having a cosy time with.

Milimani Law Courts senior principal magistrate Zainab Abdul freed the suspect on a cash bail of KSh 50,000.

“I have considered the application and circumstances leading to the death, it has been stated that the respondent raised an alarm and that shows she did not intend to flee or hide. In addition, her place of work has been disclosed,” said Abdul while reading her order.

She will appear in court on Monday, March 14, when the case will be mentioned for further directions.

Mwelu is also expected to be reporting daily to the investigating officer Stephen Kibei until the court issues new orders.

Man Collapses, Dies During Steamy Session with Lover in Lodging.

In the Wednesday, December 29, incident, the deceased Erastus Madzomba, was having a good time with his lover, Elgar Namusia, at Broadway Lodgings along Thiongo Road.

In a dramatic turn of events, Namusia claimed her boyfriend passed out after the session and died Namusia, in turn, alerted the police who rushed to the scene and found Madzomba’s body lying on the bed.

The police said his remains had no visible injuries and were moved to City Mortuary awaiting a post-mortem to ascertain the cause of his death.
