Russia has intensified its attacks on key Ukrainian cities with fighting raging for a seventh day in the north, east and south.
According to the United Nations, 800,000 people have now fled Ukraine as the Ukraine military says Russian paratroopers have landed in its besiaged second-largest city Kharkiv.
Though Russia says it has taken control of the port of Kherson, it’s mayor says it’s still held by Ukrainian forces and the US says it will ban Russian airlines from its airspace- following the lead of the European Union and Canada.
Stock market trading on the Moscow Exchange will be suspended for a third day as per said by Russia’s central bank with major companies such as Apple, Google, Ford and Exxon Mobil taken steps against Russia over the Invasion.
A 40 mile-long convoy of Russian armoured vehicles is about 15 miles north of the capital Kyiv and US President Joe Biden said that Vladimir Putin underestimated the West’s response to the war, making it clear that Nato is ready and the world is united in its response.
Five people died after Russia attacked a TV tower in Kyiv, hitting nearby broadcast facilities.
