Ugandans Attack Bobi Wine For Standing With Ukraine

Former presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has come under heavy scrutiny following his social post saying he is supporting Ukraine in Russia-Ukraine war.

Six days ago, Russian army led by its president Vladamir Putin invaded Ukraine in what they are calling ‘Military Operation’.

Many African figures including presidents have voiced against the invasion saying its a disturbance of global peace while others have stand with Russia.

Bobi Wine through his Facebook page made a lengthy post supporting Ukraine.

““I hope the world now understands our long held argument that Ugan is ruled by brutal war mongers, whose DNA is finding pleasure in human suffering, to suit their political gains,” Bobi partly wrote.

“Muhoozi must be happy seeing little children sleeping in the cold trying to find refugees from the bomb blasts. Alongside Ugandans of a good conscience, we join the world to stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine,” He added.

In the post, Wine said that what Russia is doing to Ukrainians is the same thing Museveni and his government are doing to Ugandans.

This did not please many Ugandans who showed their disappointment in his post saying that he is ignorant about Russia and Ukraine’s history.

“This is the most insensitive and ridiculous post from a typical Western puppet masquerading as Ugandans savior. It’s obvious the Russia-Ukraine was is beyond your comprehension hence you have come so low to take the stand of “sympathy flow” being created by Western media,” Alfred Angamvile Bandua said

Naluswa Fahd Adam, a social media user informed him that America has been behaving like Russia but walked away with it.

“We all can’t be on one side, America has bombed so many countries but it hasn’t been Sanctioned, it invaded Lybia which was not supposed to be the case,” Naluswa said.

“The world is not United on the Crisis in Ukraine, sir. And if you stand with the truth, check your history lessons,” Claire Umurungi stressed.

Faridh MC Ako, another Facebook user asked where the NUP chairperson was when other countries were invaded.

“Where were you when they invaded Palestine, Iran, Iraq, Lybia, Yemen. You never talked because they are Islamic states. Double standards, I stand with Muhoozi and Russia,” Faridh MC Ako.

“I can see Mr. Bobi Wine, you are myopic on such issues…. Legs first fight for Africans who are being mistreated by the same Ukrainians,” another social media user stated.
