MLAGHA—We want our customers to be stress free
Toyota Malawi has launched the Toyota/ Hino Connect, a digital fleet management system designed for Toyota and Hino vehicles.
Malawi is the first to have the system in Africa which, apart from tracking a vehicle’s movements, sends reports on fuel usage and wastage, alerts such as when the vehicle is due for service and suggests better routes.
Speaking during the launch in Blantyre on Wednesday, Toyota Malawi National Sales and Marketing Manager Newton Mlagha said the system is pre-installed in Toyota and Hino vehicles and will only require the customer to give consent for activation.
“We want our customers to have stress free operations when it comes to their fleet because this fleet management system is real-time in terms of vehicle movement and other important alerts,” he said.
Toyota Malawi has partnered IT vehicle tracking company Cartrack in developing the system.
Mlagha added that the partnership was arrived at looking at the track record of the two companies.
“Toyota Malawi and Cartrack launched Toyota Plus in 2005 and, even now, we have seen that we have a proven record with the company. Therefore, we are going together again in this innovation,” he said.
Toyota Malawi is an official dealer of Toyota and Hino vehicles on the local market.
