Two men are in Police Custody in Mzimba for being found in possession of two raw pieces of Ivory.

Mzimba Police Deputy Spokesperson John Nyirongo has identified the two as Witness Madeve 24, and Jason Manson 28.

Nyirongo says on 17th February 2022, Mpherembe police officers arrested the two at Matchumi village in the district after learning that they were offering for sale the two pieces of Ivory weighing 7.16 Kgs.

Madeve comes from Buleya Village under Traditional Authority Buleya in Mulanje while Manson hails from Melo Village, Traditional Authority Mbenje in Nsanje.
