The Malawi Police Service (MPS) has transferred a number of its officers to various stations for allegedly leaving their assigned posts during presidential operations and failing to report to presidential operations.

According to a wireless message seen by Faceofmalawi reporter, the officers were summoned before being transferred.

The message stressed that the transferrers are with immediate effect.

The officers were from various police stations in the capital, Lilongwe and have been deployed to various stations across the country.
