Mkaka Says He Is Not Aware That He Bought Land Meant For Public Project

Minister of Natural Resources, Eisenhower Mkaka has said he is not aware that the land he bought and built houses at area 43, 49 in Lilongwe was meant for public project.

Mkaka made the remarks after citizens complained about politicians allegedly grabbing and developing land originally meant for public use.

Mkaka admitted to own the houses, but he said he purchased the said land in 2020 from Chiefs.

One of the Area 43 residents Dr. Daimon Kambewa has called on citizens in the country to stand-up and speak against any signs of abuse of power and authority.

Meanwhile, chief of staff Prince Kapondamgaga has warned against acts of some workers who are denting the name of president Lazarus Chakwera.
