Kondwani James, Nkhata Bay Police publicist has confirmed an incident in which a 9 year old boy has killed himself by hanging for reasons yet to be established.

According to James, the deceased is identified as Thomas Banda, he says the young boy hanged himself in his parents’ house.

Reports has it that on August 14, Thomas left his friends he was playing with and went home where he hanged himself.

Thomas’ mother found him hanging to the roof and took him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
