Police in Mzuzu have arrested eight people for allegedly being found in possession of police uniforms.

Mzuzu Police spokesperson Inspector Paul Tembo has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

According to Tembo,the arrest follows a tip off from well-wishers in the city.

Tembo said the suspects were staying in one house in Chibavi Township.

The eight are Thomson Mbewe, Chikondi Malinga, Ramsey Chirwa, Famous Nsani, Jeremiah Banda, Ladson Banda, Alex Kavenji and Gelard Mwale.

Tembo said the suspects will appear in court soon.
