A seven- month- old baby, Ethel Petulo, has died in a fire accident after the house she was sleeping in caught fire at night while his mother was out for work in Kasungu District.

According to Spokesperson of Kasungu Police, Joseph Kachikho, on that day the child’s mother, who is a prostitute, went to sleep in certain man house in the same village and left the child alone in her house.

People living around the house were surprised by the fire in the early hours of the morning and were unable to put out the fire to save the child.

Postmortem results at Chambwe healthy clinic shows that the child due to burns and Police are still investigating the cause of the fire.
