A 32 year old teacher in Kasama who was on Wednesday arrested for impregnating his sister in law told police he was tempted to sleep with her because she is sexy and beautiful.

Allan Mutale claimed it was within the Bemba culture for him to sleep with his sister in-law but admitted, he was wrong to sleep with the Grade 11 girl as she was only 15.

Mr Mutale said he started sleeping with the young girl who also happens to be his pupil when he sent away his wife to Serenje for marriage counselling due to the disputes the couple had last October.

The girl reportedly said that the suspect sexually abused her on occasions while his wife was away.

When Mr Mutale’s wife returned and learned that her sister was pregnant, she left her matrimonial home with the victim for Serenje. “Yes, I twice slept with her…. its me who impregnanted her”, Allan told the police on Wednesday.

The Teacher will appear in court this week week for defilement.
