3 MEN ARRESTED IN CONNECTION TO SERIES ROBBERIES IN NTCHEU DISTRICT

Police in Ntcheu have arrested three men over a series of robberies in the district.

Spokesperson for Ntcheu Plice, Rebecca Ndiwate has identified the three as Mayeso Pepesi aged 20, Jackson Bakali aged 25and Samuel Kayekeni aged 21.

Ndiwate has confirmed that police arrested the suspects following Criminal Investigations Department (CID) investigation after complaints filed by residents of Thewa, Jeckdeck, Nsipe, Kampepuza, Ntcheu Secondary School and surrounding areas.

Ndiwate added that the suspects led the officers to Tsangano in Mozambique where they recovered some items like plasma screens, laptops, home theatres, inventors, Mattresses, Radios, Cellphones, desktop computers and assorted household items and positively identified by complainants.

The three will soon appear in court to answer charges of breaking and theft and investigations are underway to arrests more as well as recovering more items.
