Police in Phalombe have launched a manhunt of a 23 year old man Madina Junior for allegedly killing his uncle last night.

Phalombe police spokesperson Jimmy Kapanja confirmed of the development and identified the deceased as Daniel Madina aged 25.

According to the police, late Madina was suspected of stealing two bags of pigeon peas from the village and the suspect (Junior) revealed of the ordeal which led to the recovery of the bags.

Late Madina was therefore not pleased with his nephew for revealing the ordeal in which he went and attacked him but in the process he was hacked on the neck and died on the spot.

The late Madina hailed from Nasiyaya village Traditional Authority Kaduya in the district .

This comes barely a day after a woman was also brutally killed in the same district.
