The district’s police spokesperson, constable Cosmas Kagulo, identified the deceased as Precious Malika, 18, who took his own life yesterday.

The law enforcers say they are yet to establish the reasons behind the suicide, but the post-mortem indicates that the death was due to suffocation.

Father to the deceased discovered his lifeless body suspended in the air today upon the forceful opening of a separate house he was sleeping after several unsuccessful attempts at knocking at his door.

Precious Malika was a form 2 student at Chiradzulu Community Day Secondary School.

Meanwhile, the police have instituted an investigation on the matter.
