100 civil servants to undergo nutrition training at NRC

The European Union (EU) through Afikepo Programme has sponsored 100 civil servants from three sectors to undergo a nutrition training at Natural Resources College (NRC) in Lilongwe.

The launch of the Programme took place at NRC in Lilongwe.

The Cooperation did to these as part of capacity building to three colleges include the ministry of Education, Health as well as Agriculture sector.

According to the EU Head of Cooperation Ivo Hoefkens, the purpose of this training is to have a high number of well-equipped nutrition workers.

Deputy Director for Nutrition in the Ministry of Health Blessings Muwalo, said the capacity building program has helped to remove the skilled gap among officers.

The program has so far trained 236 civil servants at all levels of higher education in different institutions in the country.
